September 18, 2005 was the date we planned for our dream wedding. We talked and talked and figure out how we can settle everything in a matter of 2 month planning. We lacked in prayers. All we knew was we can do it even without God.
We crammed..... We were very confused and negative feelings are always present. Until we found out that we weren't ready at that time.....
Both of us asked help and counseling to our friends and pastors..... They were very nice to accommodate our questions and understand why all of those things happened.
That was a ROCKY ROAD for the both of us. But we survived....... God allowed us to see that nothing will be accomplished without HIM, without HIS guidance, without His blessings.
Finally we see ourselves in a straight and smooth road with God.
Two years later, everything was settled. God gave us so many blessings. We knew that was the time God prepared for us...... For our Dream Wedding.....
We choose the same date the first time we planned our wedding SEPTEMBER 18, but this time its 2007 (TUESDAY, Intramuros, 3:00 P.M)
PLANNING
June 2007 was the start of the planning stage. Friends are all present and very excited about the BIG DAY. Everyone was on their toes assisting me in putting my ideas together. Until i see the exact things i want to happen in our wedding.
That was a long, stressful and busy days for the both of us but God showed his unfailing love to guide and be there for us.
Counseling, canvassing, putting together our guest list, catering, staff, flowers, video coverage..... wow!!!! Its all personalized and so many things we need to keep in mind.
August 2007, almost done..... Venue, Motif, Complete entourage, Wedding gowns, etc.... we are very excited.... very very excited.......
One week before the wedding was a very stressful and unforgettable days for us. Up to that very time the devil tests our relationship........ 2 days before the wedding, Roselle got a high fever. He doesn’t eat, he was really hot and drained. I was afraid... but God was on our side...We rushed Roselle to the hospital for diagnosis.... I am hoping that it was just a tense feeling inside of him that made him sick. Dextrose, blood count, thermometer, needle...... Nurses come and go to check my husband to be........... I was afraid that he can’t walk the day of our wedding because of his sickness…………… I cancelled all my schedules in the salon, in my make up artist. I did not focus on my self but to my fiancé.........
Pray........ Pray........... Pray....... and………. Pray............
Still in the Hospital 1 day before our BIG Day.....
I was disturbed. But God helped me to be calm and beautiful......
On the other hand, the doctors gave my husband a gate pass to be present on our Wedding. But he needs to go back right after the ceremony for more tests.
CEREMONY
Roselle was present and the ceremony was great. Everybody was touched by the message of our pastor (Pstr. Manalo). Everybody was very cooperative......
The wedding had passed..... It was a very successful one. Even though we did not attend the reception, still the presence of our spirit was there.
After the ceremony I recognized that my husband did a very thoughtful and loving presence on our wedding day. The scene of he holding my hands and let me feel that everything is alright even though at the back of my mind still, my husband is sick. We came back to the Hospital, His platelet count was decreasing and his doctor told me that he has the KILLER DENGUE. I hold on to the promises of God that he is our healer and God was really gracious to heal my husband.
It was an answered prayer………..
HONEYMOON
Our Hongkong Honeymoon tour was moved. I was afraid that he cannot make it. But still, i trusted God to be on time in giving us that gift......
Two days before our rescheduled tour, he was really fine. His platelet count continued to rise and the doctors allowed him to travel.....
Our Honey Moon became a reality. We enjoyed every single minute we were together.
God is awesome...... And i can say that He wrote our love story to share to our KIDS.
